The Government of the Republic of Kosovo expresses its regret for cancelling the inauguration ceremony of the National Highway, today at 10.00, which was an event marking the 100 year anniversary of the Independence of Albania.

The event was cancelled because of the intervention of a group of irresponsible citizens, who demolished the location where the ceremony was going to be held.

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo thanks the many members of the public who came to celebrate and in particular, it thanks and requests understanding for suspending the ceremony, from the Prime Minister of Albania, Sali Berisha, President Jahjaga, the American Ambassador to Prishtina, Jacobson, the Ambassador of Turkey in Prishtina, Ozan and many other local and international figures, who were going to give speeches at this ceremony.
