The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi meets the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Saud Bin Fejsal

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, accompanied by Deputy Prime Minister Behxhet Pacolli met the Foreign Minister of Saudi Arabia, Saud Bin Fejsal and the Deputy Foreign Minister Abdulaziz Ibn Abdullah Abdulaziz.

In the meeting, they talked in general about Kosovo’s diplomatic position, and Saudi Arabia’s contribution during and after the war. The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo asked Saudi Arabia to exercise its influence on countries in the Arab world which still have not recognized Kosovo’s independence.

In addition, Prime Minister Thaçi elaborated on Belgrade’s diplomatic propaganda during the war, which accused Albanians of fundamentalism, whereas today is proud of countries in the Islamic world that do not recognize Kosovo’s independence.

Prime Minister Thaçi asked diplomats of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia to exercise their influence on the Governments of Yemen, Lebanon, Egypt and the Sudan to recognize the state of Kosovo as soon as possible.

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo talked about the security and stability created by Kosovo’s independence, emphasizing that Kosovo is oriented toward the future and not the past.

Prime Minister Thaçi spoke of political stability, legal infrastructure and Kosovo’s potential as an attractive country for Saudi Arabian investors.
