The Government of the Republic of Kosovo approved the nine month report on Kosovo budget for 2011

The Government of the Republic of Kosovo, led by Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi convened on its regular 43rd meeting and approved draft laws, strategies, regulations and other decisions based on its Constitutional and legal responsibilities.

The nine month budget report for 2011 which was presented and obtained the approval of the Government cabinet shows a positive performance in ensuring incomes but also in economizing budgetary expenditures.

The government approved the Draft Law on Registering and Evidencing the Unemployed and Job seekers in the Republic of Kosovo which regulates procedures, methods and the evidencing of the unemployed and job seekers in employment offices.

The Government cabinet has approved the Strategy for the Kosovo Security Forces which provides the instructions that KSF be engaged in attaining NATO standards aiming to build the partnership with USA, EU and KFOR.

Five regulations which regulate information security area were also approved in this meeting: Regulation on physical security of classified information; Regulation on Standards for Securing the Information on Economic Operators; the Regulation on developing security verification procedures; Regulation on classifying and declassifying information; and, Regulation on Disseminating and Transferring Classified Information.

The Government approved the decision for harmonization, reduction and allocation of budgetary means, the decision on supplementing and modifying the decision on the reduction and allocation of budgetary expenditures, and the decision for continuing expropriations in segments 3 and 4 along the motorway Merdare-Vermica.

Ministry of Trade and Industry briefed the government cabinet on the decision of the European Commission on continuing trade preferences for Kosovo as well as the recognition of Kosovo Customs Stamps by Bosnia and Herzegovina.
