During the day, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi also met with the Parliamentary Vice- Minister for Foreign Affairs Kazuyuki Hamada.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Thaçi thanked Mr. Hamada for the warm welcome and the commitment of the Japanese diplomacy to recognize the Republic of Kosovo and to establish diplomatic relations and for the support provided Kosovo in many areas since after the war.
Prime Minister Thaçi specifically thanked Mr. Hamada for his personal engagement as a powerful promoter of Kosovo in Japan by also making possible this historical visit, which is the first visit by a Kosovo Prime Minister to Japan.
On his part, Mr. Hamada, welcomed Prime Minister Thaçi and called the visit of a special importance and at the right time to advance bilateral cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
“It is a pleasure to cooperate with your country,” said Mr. Hamada and promised continuation of his engagement in support of Kosovo, in increasing the number of recognitions and in promoting the Republic of Kosovo in Japan.
