Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosova, Hashim Thaçi, received in a meeting today Mr. Muhamer Ibrahimi, designer of the flag and emblem of Kosova.
Prime Minister Thaçi commended Ibrahimi for designing the flag of the Republic of Kosova and said that he feels very well to have the spirit, mind, sacrifice, idea, ideals and the hand of a former freedom fighter of Kosova Liberation Army present and design the new symbol of Kosova, the state flag of Kosova, that will waive in the UN and throughout the world forever…
“Muhameri has done a marvelous job in that wide professional competition. The ideal of the fight for freedom is also triumphing now in the battle for designing of the independent and sovereign state of Kosova,” stated Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi.
Meanwhile, author of the flag, Muhamer Ibrahimi, explaining the meaning of the flag said that the blue color in the flag of the Republic of Kosova represents the aspirations of the people of Kosova to move ahead towards Euro-Atlantic institutions, the six stars represent the equal communities living in the country, and the gold color presented in the map of Kosova is his favorite.
On this occasion Muhamer Ibrahimi, designer of the flag and the emblem of Kosova, handed over the first copy of the designed flag of the Republic of Kosova to Prime Minister Thaçi and congratulated him and the Government of Kosova on the new and independent state.
