The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, has sent a telegram of condolences to his counterpart, the Japanese Prime Minister, Naoto Kan, over the quake that shook Japan causing the loss of thousands of lives.
The telegram of condolences reads:
Honorable Prime Minister Kan,
I was deeply saddened to receive the news on the natural disaster striking your country these days causing the loss of lives of many citizens and considerable material damages.
The Government of the Republic of Kosovo and the people of Kosovo will stand by the government and the people of Japan at these difficult moments, expressing a strong will for support and solidarity.
I would also like to point out that the Government of the Republic of Kosovo will always be grateful for the overall support that Japan has given Kosovo in its process of independence and development.
