Prime Minister of Republic of Kosovo Hashim Thaçi calls on Kosovo citizens to join “Let’s clean Kosovo” initiative

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received in a meeting today a delegation from the “Ta pastrojmë Kosovën” (Let us clean Kosovo) initiative headed by group leader Luan Hasanaj.
 
Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi commended the representatives of the “Ta pastrojmë Kosovën” initiative for the activities to be organized Kosovo wide on 24 May 2012.

“Environment protection is an important priority of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo and one of the key preconditions for the sustainable development of Kosovo. In this respect, the Government has undertaken concrete steps by adopting the most up-to-date legislation in the field and especially by taking decisions to prevent environment degradation” – said Prime Minister Thaçi.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Thaçi expressed the full support of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo for the organization of the “Ta pastrojmë Kosovën” campaign, which, as Mr. Thaçi called, intends to raise the awareness of the society and institutions and to mobilize them for a more proactive and outcome oriented attitude towards environment protection. 

Prime Minister Thaçi informed the delegation of the initiative to clean the country that he personally together with the Minister of Environment and Spatial Planning and other ministers will be part of the initiative by participating in the activities to clean Kosovo. 

On this occasion, Prime Minister Thaçi called on all the citizens of Kosovo to join the “Ta pastrojmë Kosovën” initiative tomorrow on 24 May 2012 and thus contribute to a cleaner and healthier environment for all the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. 

With this action, the Republic of Kosovo joins the “Let’s do it, World” global initiative proving again that the citizens and the institutions of this country love a clean Kosovo and know how to care for it.
