Initially, the office is going to have seven directorates with 55 employees and it will be headed by a principal administrative officer to be selected through a competitive hiring process organized by the Ministry of Local Government Administration.

The Minister of European Integration, Vlora Çitaku presented the quarterly report on the implementation of the European Partnership Action Plan which has been assessed as positive. The report states that the vast majority of activities described in the plan are being undertaken according to the plan and this shows the seriousness and the commitment of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo to the European integration process.

In this meeting, the Minister of European Integration also presented a report on handing over of the answers to the questionnaire by the European Commission on the feasibility study for Kosovo. It has been concluded that all the answers were presented on time and that this obligation by the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo has been met in a qualitative way.

The Minister for Communities and Returns informed the Government Cabinet on the incident last night when two houses of returnees in Drenoc village of Klina were set on fire.
The Government condemned the act and pointed out that the right of the displaced persons to return to their properties is inalienable and that the Government of Kosovo will continue with its engagement to ensure free return and living in their properties for all its citizens.

“This act must not discourage our engagement to return all the citizens of Kosovo to their properties,” said Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi.
