Deputy Prime Minister of Government of Kosovo Mr. Hajredin Kuçi met Finish Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance Mr. Jyrki Katainen

“Kosovo is now facing a few challenges, with gaining of a stronger international support being the main one, support not only in the security aspect, but also in the political and the economic sense,” said Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuçi following a meeting with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of Finland, Mr. Jyrki Katainen.

The Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hajredin Kuçi received in a meeting today Mr. Jyrki Katainen, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Finance in Finland.
 
On behalf of the Government of Kosovo and its people, Mr. Kuçi thanked Mr. Katainen for the support that Finland has continuously given to Kosovo in building peace, economy and also for the recognition of the state of Kosovo by Finland.
 
“Kosovo is now facing a few challenges, with gaining of a stronger international support being the main one, and that not only in the security aspect, but also in the political and the economic fields,” said Deputy Prime Minister Hajredin Kuçi.
 
Both interlocutors also discussed about the preparations for the Donors’ Conference.
Mr. Jyrki Katainen promised concrete support from his country in the Donors’ Conference on Kosovo, expected to be held in July this year.
 
Deputy Prime Ministers Kuçi and Katainen also talked about the transition period, the contribution of Finish KFOR in Kosovo and the transfer from UNMIK to the EULEX.
 
The Finish Deputy Prime Minister, Mr. Jyrki Katainen said that his country will send 60 experts in Kosovo as part of the EULEX mission and that they will also support the development of the education sector and protection of human rights.
 
During the meeting there was a willingness expressed by both parties to strengthen the mutual cooperation and also within international mechanisms.
