The Prime Minister paid tribute on the Capital’s Martyrs’ Day

On the occasion of the Martyrs’ Day of the Municipality of Pristina, April 18, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, today paid tribute to the martyrs’ cemeteries in the Velania neighborhood, in Pristina.

Accompanied by the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, the Minister of Industry, Enterprise and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari and the Minister of Defense, Ejup Maqedonci, the Prime Minister said that today they remember the martyrs and martyrs of Mareci, 27 martyrs and 16 martyrs who fell heroically before 25 years. He also emphasized that from today and the following four days we commemorate the biggest massacre in the Municipality of Pristina, which happened in the village of Makoc, where 115 civilians were killed, among them many old people and children.

“Glory to all the martyrs and martyrs who fell on our common path for the freedom of Kosovo and the liberation of the people,” said the Prime Minister at the end.

Present at these tributes were the deputies of the Assembly of the Republic of Kosovo, Mefail Bajqinovci, Salih Zyba, Enver Dugolli and Driton Hyseni.

Together with the Minister of Health, Arben Vitia, the Minister of Enterprise, Industry and Trade, Rozeta Hajdari and the Minister of Defense, Ejup Macedonci, we are together here at the martyrs’ cemetery in the Municipality of Pristina on the occasion of the Martyrs’ Day of the Capital, April 18.

At the same time, today we remember the martyrs and martyrs of Marec – there are 27 martyrs and 16 martyrs who fell heroically 25 years ago.

Also, from today and the following four days, we commemorate the biggest massacre in the Municipality of Pristina, which happened in the village of Makoc, where 115 civilians were killed, among them so many old people and children.

Glory to all the martyrs and martyrs who fell on our common path for the freedom of Kosovo and the liberation of the people!
