During this meeting between the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo and the European Parliament Rapporteur, Ulrike Lunacek, is was discussed on important processes which Kosovo is going through, both in the internal aspect and in the area of European integration.

Prime Minister Thaçi thanked Ms. Lunacek for her contribution and that of the members of the European Parliament in defending interests of Kosovo in Brussels and assured her that Kosovo will make significant progress in the path of integration.

In this context, Prime Minister Thaçi underscored that based on the institutional commitment of Kosovo on the full implementation of the European integration criteria and standards, visa liberalization will happen very soon.

During the meeting with the European Parliament Rapporteur, Ulrike Lunacek, Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi reiterated the importance of regional cooperation and reaffirmed that the Republic of Kosovo has been and will remain a constructive factor, respecting the value of dialogue and cooperation.

From her part, the European Parliament Rapporteur, Ulrike Lunacek commended Prime Minister Thaçi for the work achieved so far towards visa liberalization and expressed her optimism that in a near future, citizens of Kosovo will be able to enjoy the freedom of movement in European Union countries.

Rapporteur Lunacek, in the meeting with Prime Minister Thaçi highly regarded the constructive role of the Republic of Kosovo during the technical dialogue between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia by reaffirming the strong support of the members of the European Parliament on Kosovo’s journey towards integration.

Ms. Lunacek also informed Prime Minister Thaçi that on November 22, the European Parliament will debate the Report of this EU institution on developments in Kosovo.
