Today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi received in a meeting the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Norway, Espen Barth Eide, who is on an official visit to Kosovo.
On this occasion, Prime Minister Thaçi thanked the Minister of Foreign Affairs for Norway’s support for the consolidation and broader recognition of the new state of Kosovo.
In this meeting, Prime Minister Thaçi outlined the political priorities of Kosovo’s foreign policy, focusing on good neighborliness with all neighbors, especially now after the First Agreement on the principles that regulate the normalization of relations between the Republics of Kosovo and of Serbia.
Foreign Minister Eide called the agreement historic and expressed his strong conviction that normalization of relations between the two countries will be reached, and this will affect the long-term stability of the entire region.
In addition, the Norwegian minister assured Prime Minister Thaçi that Norway will continue to support Kosovo’s development, especially its path toward Euro-Atlantic integration.
