The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, accompanied by the Minister of Economy, Artane Rizvanolli and the Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Liburn Aliu, welcomed yesterday in the Government building, the Chargee d’affaires of the EU Office in Kosovo, Eva Palatova, together with ambassadors and deputy ambassadors of EU member states, on the eve of the United Nations Conference on Climate Change, COP 28.
At the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti and Ministers Rizvanolli and Aliu expressed their gratitude for the support of the EU, informed them about reforms in the field of energy, climate and environment, and confirmed Kosovo’s determination to global commitments for Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency (Global Renewables & Energy Efficiency pledge), which are in line with the Government’s goals and policies in the relevant fields.
The Republic of Kosovo will participate in COP28 for the second time. On this occasion, the Government of the Republic of Kosovo will officially join the Global Renewable Energy and Energy Efficiency Pledge.
