The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, received today a delegation composed of deputies of the Inter-Parliamentarian Union of the United Kingdom led by Lord Bowness.
Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi informed the parliamentarians of the Great Britain’s Inter-parliamentarian Union with the achievements of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in the consolidation and strengthening of the independent and democratic state of Kosovo, on commitments to strengthen good governance, transparency, the rule of law and order, the uncompromised combat against corruption and organized crime, the vision for sustainable economical development and the commitment for affirmatively respecting communities.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Thaçi expressed the determination of the government of the Republic of Kosovo on the full implementation of the criteria and European integration standards. In this direction, Prime Minister Thaçi underscored that the Government of Kosovo has undertaken progressive steps in meeting the European agenda and placing a special emphasis on fulfilling the visa liberalization criteria.
Speaking of the engagements of the Government of Kosovo on strengthening the rule of law throughout the territory of Kosovo, Prime Minister Thaçi provided assurance that the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, in full partnership with the international community, shall fully establish rule of law and order in northern part of Kosovo by opening the perspectives of building a democratic life and of economic development and the social life of our citizens in that part of the country as well.
During the meeting with Kosovo’s Prime Minister, Hashim Thaçi, Lord Bowness, on behalf of the delegation of the parliamentarians of Great Britain’s Inter-Parliamentarian Union, expressed high regard of the relationship between the two countries and states that his is convinced that the role of Great Britain in supporting democratic and development processes in Kosovo, and especially that of EU integrations, will be further strengthened.
At this meeting today with Prime Minister Thaçi, Lord Bowness underscored that Kosovo’s perspective if that of the European integration and of sustainable economic development.
