Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi and his Cabinet paid homage and placed flowers at the grave of the Late President Ibrahim Rugova, in the Velania district of Prishtina.
The Prime Minister stated the following, in remembrance of Dr. Rugova:
We are here today to honor President Rugova, on the fourth anniversary of the passing of President Ibrahim Rugova.
On this day, as we are nearly also marking the second anniversary of the independent, sovereign and democratic State of Kosovo, it is the state-level honoring and remembrance by the Government of Kosovo for the state-building and democratizing contribution to our country, for the personality of President Ibrahim Rugova, which will be remembered with the highest regard by the State of Kosovo and the people of Kosovo.
