Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi held a farewell meeting today with the Ambassador of the Republic of France to Kosovo, Delphine Borione.
In what was a warm and friendly meeting, Prime Minister Thaçi thanked Ambassador Borione for her exceptional work during her service in Kosovo. Mr. Thaçi also thanked the French Government and people for the help and support they have given and continue to give to Kosovo.
“The Government of the Republic of Kosovo is committed to ensuring that this fruitful cooperation will be further strengthened in the future,” said Prime Minister Thaçi.
Prime Minister Thaçi used this occasion to point out the success Kosovo has achieved in all fields, as well as the challenges faced by the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo in integrating the country into the Euro-Atlantic institutions.
Mrs. Delphine Borione expressed her gratitude for the hospitality extended to her in Kosovo and said that she was very happy with the honest and productive cooperation there had been with the government and the country’s other institutions.
Prime Minister Thaçi also met today with the German Ambassador to Kosovo, Hans Dieter Steinbach, with whom he discussed developments in Kosovo and the cooperation between the two countries.
He said that he was happy with the level of collaboration between the Republic of Kosovo and the Federal Republic of Germany. Both officials agreed on the need to develop their bilateral relations further, with a special emphasis on collaboration in the field of economic development.
Prime Minister Thaçi told Ambassador Steinbach about the government’s priorities, one of which is Kosovo’s European agenda. “The Government of the Republic of Kosovo is committed to implementing the Action Plan for European
Partnership and all the criteria within the framework of the European integration process,” said Mr. Thaçi.
Ambassador Hans Dieter Steinbach said that his country would support Kosovo in the peace process and in the processes of European integration.
