Congratulations on your re-election as Prime Minister.
I recall fondly my trip to Kosovo last October and our productive discussions on the road ahead.
I encourage you and your new cabinet to press forward rapidly with advancing a sustainable and effective economic agenda, solidifying the rule of law, integrating Kosovo’s minorities, and pursuing reforms that will move your country toward realization of its Euro-Atlantic aspirations.
Your constructive engagement in the EU-facilitated dialogue with Serbia will be important, in this respect.
I applaud the progress Kosovo has made in its first three years of independence and look forward to our countries’ close and deepening partnership in the years to come.
The United States will continue to support Kosovo’s efforts to fulfill its rights and responsibilities as a sovereign and independent member of the international community.
I wish you every success in these endeavors.
