The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, after the phone call with the Secretary of Foreign Affairs of the United Kingdom, James Cleverly, met the ambassador of the United Kingdom in Kosovo, Nicholas Abbott.
Together they discussed the current developments, with emphasis on the recent situation in the north of the country, the importance for complete de-escalation and the way forward. In this regard, Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that the rule of law should be the basic principle to move forward.
The full establishment of the rule of law in the four municipalities in the north of Kosovo is necessary both for the removal of criminal elements and for an open and fair campaign before free and democratic elections in the future.
The Prime Minister thanked Ambassador Abbott for his continuous commitment and cooperation in deepening and strengthening the bilateral relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the United Kingdom.
