Prime Minister Kurti inspected the works on the expansion of the Prishtina-Podujeva road

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, last night in the late hours together with the Deputy Minister of Environment, Spatial Planning and Infrastructure, Hysen Durmishi, visited the works that are being developed in the expansion of the national road Prishtina-Podujevë.

On this occasion, Prime Minister Kurti thanked the workers and engineers for their unstoppable work day and night, to complete this road as soon as possible.

At the beginning of the week, at the Government building, the Prime Minister had welcomed for a roundtable discussion the owners of the road construction companies, once economic operators contracted in the current infrastructure projects. In that meeting, Prime Minister Kurti had invited them to increase the capacities engaged in equipment and personnel in the realization of the contracted obligations; to maximally respect the standards, quality/quality of materials and safety at work; to enable the circulation of vehicles through the segments where work is being done, especially during the period of visiting compatriots, and in the segments with high traffic, to use even the night to execute the works. He also expressed his willingness to visit the works which are also carried out at night in the summer season.

This road, which is being expanded, has a total length of about 15 km in different lots and has a value of about 35 million euros.
