Prime Minister Kurti hosted the General Director of the EBRD for Central and South-Eastern Europe, Charlotte Ruhe

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, met the General Director of the European Bank for Reconstruction and Development (EBRD) for Central and South-Eastern Europe, Charlotte Ruhe, the Director of the EBRD in Kosovo, Sergey Maslichenko as well as the deputy director of the EBRD in Kosovo, Arianit Blakaj.

The meeting discussed the eight current projects that the Government of Kosovo is implementing in cooperation with the EBRD, such as the project for energy efficiency in public buildings in the Municipality of Pristina and Prizren, the project for the treatment of waste water in the Municipality of Ferizaj as well as the project for the construction of the solar greenhouse.

Also, during this meeting, some of the priority projects for 2024 were discussed, including the construction of wastewater treatment plants in Podujevë, Gjilan and Mitrovica, the construction of regional roads, the signaling and telecommunication project for the 10th railway line, as well as other projects that focus on the energy and water sectors.

During the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti thanked the representatives of the EBRD for the continuous support, emphasizing the importance of these investments, especially in the advancement of capacities for the use of renewable energy.

On her part, director Ruhe thanked the Government of Kosovo for the cooperation so far, reiterating the continuation of the EBRD’s support for the implementation of numerous infrastructure, telecommunication, energy and urban mobility projects.
