The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Deputy Prime Minister, Besnik Bislimi, hosted the Chairman of the Management Board of Çalık Holding, Ahmet Çalık, the Chairman of the Management Board of the Limak Company, Nihat Özdemir, as well as the Executive Director of KEDS. The meeting discussed the energy situation in the country and the relationship with KEDS in terms of sustainable supply of energy to citizens.
Prime Minister Kurti said that Kosovo is a country where production and exports are increasing, therefore energy is becoming more and more important for businesses. Kosovo has recorded an increase of 86% for 2021 compared to 2020 in exports and 23% for 2022 compared to 2021.
Mr. Çalık and Mr. Ozdemir emphasized that the companies they manage are at the service of the state of Kosovo and the common goal is the regular supply and stable distribution of energy.
