Today, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti and the Minister of Finance, Labor and Transfers, Hekuran Murati, visited the factory for metal production “Rroni Fer” in Gjakova.
Rronifer is one of the beneficiaries of investment loan subsidies, as part of measure 2.1 of the Economic Recovery Package. As a result of the support provided, the company in question has managed to expand its production capacity with Swiss and modern machines, which guarantee quality and increased production.
After the visit, Prime Minister Kurti said that Rroni Fer company is an example of the success and impact of measure 2.1 – Subsidizing investment loans in developing the capacities of productive businesses and increasing export employment. He added that in the last two years, the company has tripled the number of workers by increasing it to 200, and they plan to continue this trend in the future.
“Through the Economic Recovery Package, the Government of Kosovo has helped Rronifer with 360,000 euros. This company exports to the countries of the region and those of Western Europe, which is their main goal. Currently, about 50% of their production is for export”, emphasized Prime Minister Kurti.
Minister Murati, for his part, said that support to local producers is very important for the economic development of the country, therefore the Ministry of Finance, Labor and Transfers will continue to work in this direction.
In the end, reemphasizing the impact of the support in increasing the capacities of their company and promoting the position in the market, the hosts thanked Prime Minister Kurti and Minister Murati for their visit and the government’s support.
