Today, in Brussels, the Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, met the American Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Philip Reeker. The meeting occurred just before Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi’s meeting with the Serbian Prime Minister Ivica Dacic.
During the meeting, Prime Minister Thaçi and the Deputy Assistant Secretary Reeker talked about expectations of the dialogue process between Kosovo and Serbia.
Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi expressed the commitment and engagement of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to good neighborliness and the process of Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic integration.
Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi said that reaching an eventual agreement with Prime Minister Ivica Dacic, will open up the road toward normalizing relations between the two countries and will mark the closing of a chapter of conflict and at the same time, will open up a chapter of cooperation and Euro-Atlantic integration for the two countries.
The Deputy Assistant Secretary of State, Philip Reeker expressed the commitment of the United States of America to supporting dialogue and a just solution of all open issues between the two countries.
Mr. Reeker emphasized that the USA supports Kosovo’s territorial integrity, adding that dialogue must continue to advance toward European integration and good neighborliness.
