To honor the 64th anniversary of the death of Commander Shaban Polluzha, the Prime Minister paid homage and placed a wreath on his grave in the village of Polluzha of Drenas. The Prime Minister was accompanied by the Minister of Education, Science and Technology, Enver Hoxhaj.
The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, spoke of his respect for the national hero Shaban Polluzha, saying he was one of the luminaries of the history of the Albanian people.
Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi said that Shaban Polluzha is a man of vision, a man who began a great struggle against the Serbian and Yugoslav occupation of Kosovo, a man of resistance and opposition to the communist regime and a man who made enormous efforts for the freedom of the state of Kosovo.
Shaban Polluzha led the resistance against the occupying Serb forces in Drenica in January and February of 1945.
