Minister Edita Tahiri held a farewell meeting with Samuel Zbogar

Minister for dialogue Edita Tahiri, met today in a working lunch be EU special representative in Kosovo, Mr. Samuel Zbogar. This was a farewell meeting for Mr. Zbogar who this month completes his mandate in Kosovo going in the position of Head of the EU Delegation to Macedonia. At the meeting participated Boyd Makenzie of the EU office and consultants of Gazmir Raci Dren Zeka.

Minister Tahiri expressed her gratitude and of the Government of Kosovo for the engagement of Mr. Zbogar for many years as representative of the EU in Kosovo. She said she appreciates his contributions to European development of the state of Kosovo, stressing that in this period Kosovo marked a historic breakthrough in European integration by signing the Stabilization and Association Agreement with EU. Tahiri also expressed satisfaction with the constructive cooperation with the EU Office in Kosovo during the leadership of Mr. Zbogar emphasizing that together we have made progress in extending the sovereignty of the state of Kosovo in the northern part of the country and normalization of the situation there through the integration process and the parallel structures suppression, due to the process of dialogue in Brussels.
She expressed the belief that we are at the end of meeting the criteria for visa liberalization and the contribution of Mr. Zhbogar also will be remembered with respect.
For his part, Mr. Zbogar expressed special thanks to the close cooperation with Minister Tahiri. He said he is very happy to have had the opportunity to be in Kosovo at an important time for the country, and that will take away fond memories of Kosovo together with respect to Kosovo citizens. He added that he will follow with attention the positive developments in Kosovo towards the aspiration to join the European Union and stressed that the Brussels agreements have undoubtedly had a positive impact on improving the lives of citizens and strengthening sovereignty.
