Government of the Republic of Kosovo held its 30th regular meeting, led by Prime Minister Isa Mustafa.
Prime Minister Isa Mustafa informed the cabinet about the visit made in Slovenia and the meetings he had with Slovenian Prime Minister, the President, and President of the National Assembly of Slovenia and also meetings with people from the Albanian community who are working in various fields in the state of Slovenia. The Prime Minister emphasized the reconfirmation of a very close cooperation of the Republic of Kosovo with Slovenia in very important fields, such as economic field, but also the support of Slovenia for Kosovo to be a membership in the European Union institutions and other international institutions. “Even greater economic cooperation has been shown and we agreed the Slovenian business delegation to come and see the possibility of their cooperation with other businesses or their direct investment in Kosovo, “said Prime Minister Mustafa.
The Prime Minister also informed that during the meeting were discussed the current issues. “The issue of Kumanovo, Macedonia was raised, as it happened during the visit and both sides expressed their concern about the consequences, victims and interest to keep stability in the region, stability in Macedonia, because stability in Macedonia shall mean the stability in the region and in Kosovo, for what we are committed to take all actions and will also help this stability to be restored and that Kosovo will not be in any case source of disability, and we did not have considered this in these moments “said Prime Minister Mustafa, informing that in this visit participated also a group of businesses, respectively the presidents of chambers of commerce and business associations, which have conducted separate meetings with business associations and Slovenian businesses.
The first point of the agenda that was approved by the Government is the Decision on Amendment and supplementation of the Strategic Plan Documents for 2015.
The Government approved also a strategic document “Vision of Kosovo for Skills 2020” with the its Guideline, Measures and Indicators and established an Inter-Ministerial Group for the implementation of this strategic document, which shall consist of:
1. Ministry of Labour and Social Welfare, Chairperson;
2. Ministry of Education, Science and Technology, Co-Chairperson;
3. Office of Strategic Planning / PMO, member;
4. The Ministry of Trade and Industry, member;
5. The Ministry of European Integration, member;
6. The Ministry of Agriculture, Forestry and Rural Development, member;
7. Ministry of Culture, Youth and Sports, member;
8. Ministry of Finance, member.
Government of Kosovo adopted the final decision on additional expropriations that are affected by the construction of Highway R6 Prishtina-Hani i Elezit, Section C1.
Also, the final decision for expropriation with the establishment of the right of servitude for public interest of real property owners and holders of public interest that are affected by the construction of line nr.1806 of NS 110 kV Gjakova 1 and Gjakova 2 was reached.
The government took a decision on the allocation of funds in the amount of 21.172 (twenty thousand one hundred and seventy two) euros for the International Organization of La Francophonie for the fulfilment of the annual contributions for 2014 and 2015 of the Republic of Kosovo as a new member with observer status.
Today, in the meeting of the Government was appointed the State Aid Commission with the following composition:
1. The Minister of Finance, Chairperson;
2. The Minister of European Integration, member;
3. The Minister of Trade and Industry, member;
4. The President of the Association of Kosovo Municipalities, member;
5. The representative of civil society, member.
The government took a decision on the allocation of funds in the amount of 150,000,00 euros to fulfill the agenda of interstate dialogue mediated by the European Union between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia, respectively to the Ministry without Portfolio.
The mandate of members of the National Commission for Refugees according to the decision of the Government no. 04/70 dated 04.18.2014 was extended for 3 (three) years with the same rights and responsibilities, in accordance with Article 5 of the Rules of Procedure No.10 / 2014 of the National Refugee Commission.
The government took the decision to exclude from the scope of Law no. 04 / L-042 on Public Procurement in Kosovo, due to legitimate confidentiality and security interests of the Kosovo Police.
The Government Cabinet approved the request of the Ministry of Diaspora to postpone the registration of Diaspora.
At miscellaneous, also the proposed decision by the Ministry of Finance relating to the decision of the Government dated 15.05.2015 for payment of an allowance for work experience which relates to the provision of funds for payment of work experience was approved. These funds, upon approval of decision today, are provided by savings within the budget organizations from the category salaries and wages and other economic categories.
Minister of Finance Avdullah Hoti informed that the cabinet regarding his participation in the annual meeting of the EBRD, where he is governor on behalf of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo. Minister Hoti informed that the agreement on two concrete projects has been reached, while there are other projects for which it was agreed in principle.
“There is a project of rehabilitation of railway line from Hani i Elezit up to northern part of the border with Serbia. I believe that in July everything will be finalized and contract can be signed. The President of EBRD will be in Pristina to sign this contract, and his visit is due to respect of cooperation between EBRD and Kosovo. The other project is the road Kijeva – Zahac, a contract which will be signed in September, eventually in October “, stressed Minister Hoti.
Also, the Minister stated that the feasibility study is made for regional roads Peja-Gjakova- Prizren, Mitrovica- Peja, Ferizaj- Gjilan and Ujevare, which will be able to begin negotiations at the end of the year or early next year.
The government also agreed to issue a guarantee for the company “Urban Traffic” in Pristina, as well as cooperation with the EBRD related to the modernization of PTK. Regarding this, a team from the EBRD will come to Kosovo to get familiar with the concrete plan on how they see the cooperation with the Government and PTK.
Minister of Diaspora Valon Murati informed the cabinet regarding the preparations that are being made by the Ministry of Diaspora and the signing of memorandums with all municipalities of Kosovo with the aim of receiving Diaspora during the summer months.
