Upon the invitation of Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi, former United Kingdom Prime Minister Tony Blair will have a two-day visit to Kosovo on July 8th and 9th.
In honor of former Prime Minister Blair, the institutions of Kosovo have organized a reception with the highest state honors.
In front of the Kosovo Government building, former Prime Minister Blair will be welcomed by Prime Minister Thaçi and met by the Kosovo Ceremonial Guard.
The former UK Prime Minister, apart from his meeting with Prime Minister Thaçi, will also have separate meetings with President Fatmir Sejdiu and Assembly Speaker Jakup Krasniqi.
On the second day of his visit, former Prime Minister Blair will address the Assembly of Kosovo, in a special ceremonial session. Mr. Blair will also address the citizens of Kosovo, in a special event at the National Theatre in Prishtina. Prime Minister Thaçi invites all citizens to participate in this event.
This is the first visit of former Prime Minister Blair to Kosovo, following Kosovo’s declaration of independence.
