Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Edita Tahiri, received in a meeting today the head of the RUMELİSİAD Business Association, Mr. Şahap Aktaş, accompanied by a women delegation of the association.
Deputy Prime Minister Tahiri encouraged businessmen from Bursa, especially those of Albanian origin, to come and invest in the state of Kosovo, as Kosovo as a new state has huge and ample human and economic resources. “We are proud of our Albanians in Turkey who have never forgotten their origin and the Albanian blood, although they left their homes long time ago,” said Deputy Prime Minister Tahiri.
On his part, Mr. Aktaş expressed his pleasure for the visit and said that he is of Albanian origin and that his family was forced to move to Turkey in 1924.
Mr. Aktaş expressed the commitment of the RUMELİSİAD Association, to contribute through its members from the business sector to the economic and social development of the state of Kosovo and other countries in the region.
Cooperation between Kosovo and Turkey was highly acknowledged during the meeting and commitment was expressed to further advance this cooperation.
