The Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo for Minority Affairs and Human Rights, Emilija Redžepi participated in the presentation of the “Bodyright” campaign organized by UNPFRA, which aims to raise awareness for the protection of women’s rights in Kosovo.
In her speech Mrs. Redžepi among other things, emphasized that only with joint forces can solidarity and unity be addressed for the issue of women’s rights, for the issue of violence against them, as well as for gender equality in our society, as every woman deserves.
“The point is to change ourselves, our culture, to build a normal and equal gender life in the family, at school, in the environment where we live, in the institutions where we work as well as in society in general, where women make a great contribution”, said Deputy Prime Minister Rexhepi. She noted that Kosovo has women who are successful in every segment of society, and who certainly do not allow themselves to be abused or terrorized just because they are women.
Likewise, Deputy Prime Minister Emilija Redžepi thanked Mr. Kennedy who has selected Kosovo for these conferences and campaigns and emphasized the institutional support of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
