Deputy Prime Minister Redžepi at the Sofia Summit: In Kosovo we all live together – Albanians and non-Albanians

The Deputy Prime Minister for Minority Affairs and Human Rights of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, Mrs. Emilija Redžepi, participated in the Western Balkans Summit in Sofia, dedicated to the process of further expansion of the EU in the countries of the Western Balkans, which was also attended by EU deputies from Bulgaria, Poland , Germany, Hungary and Croatia.

The Deputy Prime Minister of Redžepi expressed her gratitude for the support given to our country. “Thank you for your efforts to facilitate and help us join the European Union. For us, this is the number one priority. We are the only people in the Balkans and Europe who do not have the right to travel freely. Both as a government and as a society, we have fulfilled all the obligations imposed by the Council of Europe and the European Union. As a new government, we are building a normal democratic state and together we are doing everything possible to focus on state rights, the fight against corruption, educational reform and the health system. In this sense, your help, especially the help of the Republic of Bulgaria, is extremely important. I express my gratitude to Bulgaria and to all of you who are helping us on our way to the European Union”, she said.

Also, Deputy Prime Minister Redžepi spoke about the relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia. She emphasized that we are obliged as a state to respect the Brussels agreement, so also the license plates as part of the Brussels agreement.
In Kosovo we all live together – Albanians and non-Albanians. Serbs, Bosniaks, Turks, Gorans and Roma and all other peoples, said Deputy Prime Minister Redžepi.
