Deputy Prime Minister of Kosovo, Ms. Edita Tahiri received today in a introductory meeting the United States Ambassador to Kosovo, Tracey Jacobson accompanied by Dana Brown, Chief of Political Sector.
Initially, Ms. Tahiri wished welcome to Kosovo to Ambassador Jacobson and expressed the commitment of the Government of Kosovo on deepening relations between the two countries. She also thanked the Ambassador for the support that the United States and the American people have provided to Kosovo through all historical stages for Kosovo’s freedom and independence.
On this event, Ms. Tahiri reemphasized that the U.S. has been and will remain the main ally of the state of Kosovo on its path to democratic development and the full integration in Euro-Atlantic community, in the UN and other institutions.
Deputy Prime Minister Tahiri spoke of Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic vision by emphasizing the full engagement of the Government of Kosovo for a state of democracy and rule of law that guarantees welfare and equal opportunities for all citizens and communities.
Ambassador Jacobson expressed her satisfaction on her role as Ambassador to Kosovo. She reaffirmed the powerful support of the United States for Kosovo’s democratic development and economic prosperity as well as the full support for Kosovo’s membership into international community.
At this meeting, they both discussed about the matter of implementing the agreements reached during the technical dialogue. It was their joint assertion that the implementation of agreements goes in the interest of improving the life of citizens and of Euro-Atlantic integrations.
