Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri receives the Italian Ambassador, Michael Giffoni in a farewell meeting

Today, the Deputy Prime Minister of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, Ms. Edita Tahiri held a farewell meeting with the Ambassador of the Republic of Italy, Michael Giffoni.

In the meeting, Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri, praised highly the bilateral relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Italy, expressing the willingness of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo to deepen further relations between our two countries in all areas of mutual interest.

Deputy Prime Minister Tahiri expressed appreciation for the support and contribution made by Italy and personally, by Ambassador Giffoni, at all historic periods of Kosovo’s freedom and independence.

Ambassador Giffoni said that Italy strongly supports Kosovo’s Euro-Atlantic prospects and said he was satisfied with the progress made by Kosovo in the five years during his posting to the country as an ambassador.

He said he was convinced that Kosovo’s future is in the European Union, and encouraged the continuation of European and Euro-Atlantic reforms.
