The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted the United Kingdom’s emissary for the Western Balkans, Lord Peach, at the meeting. Emissary Peach was accompanied at this meeting by the United Kingdom ambassador, Nicholas Abbott.
They discussed bilateral relations, current issues and the situation in the region. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi appreciated the strong partnership between our two countries and emphasized the continuous and fruitful cooperation with Ambassador Abbott, as well as with Emissary Peach.
He informed the emissary Peach about the dialogue process as well as the active and constructive role of the Republic of Kosovo. Our country has continuously demonstrated its commitment and dedication not only in the normalization of relations and recognition with Serbia, but also in strengthening the ties between the states of the region, as a catalyst for peace and harmony, development and progress.
The alliance and friendship with the United Kingdom carries special importance for Kosovo. Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi thanked the emissary Peach for the role and active support of the United Kingdom.
