The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, hosted today the representatives of the Croatian embassy in Kosovo, Nedjeljko Spilek and the artistic duo “Dina e Mel”, composed of Dina Busic and Melita Ivkovic.
The meeting discussed cultural ties between Kosovo and Croatia, with special emphasis on deepening this relationship through the organization of joint promotional cultural activities and cooperation in this direction.
The artistic duo “Dina e Mel” performs old songs of the people of Croatia. The artist Dina Busic, an Arberesh woman from Zadar, Croatia, told about the initiatives undertaken and the project launched for the promotion of culture, language and art, referring to the preservation of the natural beauty of the Arberesh women’s harmony.
Deputy Prime Minister Bislimi appreciated their work in bringing the musical treasure of the Arberesh people and wished success to the artists for their commitment and dedication in preserving and promoting the language and art of the Arberesh people in Croatia, offering his support and cooperation for similar initiatives.
The artistic duo “Dina e Mel” is staying for the first time in Kosovo, where after the concerts in Prishtina, Prizren and Mitrovica, tonight they will perform at the Etno Fest festival
