Minister Edita Tahiri hosted the new Ambassador of Hungary Mr László Márkusz

Minister for Dialogue in the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, Edita Tahiri, hosted in an introductory meeting, the new Ambassador of the Republic of Hungary in Kosovo, Mr László Márkusz, whom she congratulated for the new task as a representative of the Hungarian state in Kosovo.

   Minister Tahiri spoke with Ambassador Márkusz about the Kosovo Government priorities for economic development, employment and prosperity, the rule of law, the Euro-Atlantic agenda and reforms underway towards this goal.

Ms Tahiri also spoke about the role of Kosovo in the process of dialogue that is taking place in Brussels between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Serbia as a process that is helping to advance on the path towards the European Union stating that so far there has been significant progress but there are still significant challenges that we face during implementation. The implementation of all agreements by Serbian party opens opportunities and sustainable path for full normalization of relations and in the end the mutual recognition between the two countries, said the Minister Tahiri.

At the meeting, Ambassador expressed commitment of his country to deepen bilateral relations with Kosovo and full support to Kosovo on its road to European and Euro-Atlantic structures and stressed the importance of strengthening regional cooperation in order to maintain peace and stability. He praised the dialogue in Brussels as an important process for a lasting peace in the region.
