Prime Minister of Kosovo, Isa Mustafa, together with the President of the Republic of Kosovo, Atifete Jahjaga, and the Government Cabinet, paid homage at the grave of President Ibrahim Rugova, within celebrations for the seventh anniversary of independence.
Following is the full speech of Prime Minister Mustafa, after the homage:
On this great day, in this seventh annual Independence of the Republic of Kosovo, today, together with the President, with the Government Cabinet we made the honor to the first President of the Republic of Kosovo, the man who laid the foundations of the independence of this Republic, who with the great devotion worked throughout his life Kosovo to become an independent state, people of Kosovo to enjoy freedom and worked for this country. We highly appreciate his work, his contributions which makes us to work more in order to create conditions for our citizens, to create conditions for the state to function properly, to build a strong state, a democratic state and a state which will be proud all of us, not only domestically but also internationally.
