The fifth round of talks on implementing the agreement for normalization of relations between the Republic of Kosovo and Serbia will continue next week in Brussels with the mediation of the EU.
Issues of justice, security and energy will be on the talks’ agenda.
Kosovo’s state delegation, headed by Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri and the team of experts from relevant fields to be discussed, on Monday, 1 July 2013 will stay in Brussels to participate in technical talks to be mediated by the EU.
On July 2, 2013, a bilateral meeting is expected to be held between EU representatives on matters of Telecom, where Deputy Prime Minister Edita Tahiri and Head of TRA, Ekrem Hoxha will meet with EU mediator Mr. Pierre Mirel, Director for Western Balkans at the European Commission / Directorate for Enlargement.
The agreement on Telecom has yet been reached, but there has been progress in certain aspects where the major progress has been that Kosovo would receive the telephone country code from the ITU, which is the agreement reached at the negotiating round, held on May 17, 2013.
