Prime Minister Thaci: Kosovo and Montenegro regional examples of good neighborly relations

The Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci welcomed the delegation of Montenegro, headed by the Montenegrin Minister of Culture, Branislav Micunovic, present in Kosovo on occasion of the opening of the “Radovan Zogovic” Kosovo – Montenegro Friendship Forum.

The Montenegrin Minister of Culture, Micunovic thanked Prime Minister Thaci for the warm reception of the Montenegro delegation by representatives of Kosovo’s state and cultural institutions, while considering the promotion of the Forum as the manner to further deepen cooperation between the two countries.

The Prime Minister of the Government of Kosovo, Hashim Thaci, thanked minister Micunovic for visiting and expressed his gratitude to the government and people of Montenegro for their support to Kosovo, for recognizing its independence’s and for their support in regional cooperation. “Good relations between Kosovo and Montenegro are good examples of neighborly relations in the region and an indication that both countries follow the path of European values, with the common goal of integration into the European Union,” said the Prime Minister.

The Prime Minister informed the delegation from Montenegro on Kosovo’s achievements in economic development, road infrastructure, on the achievement of the April 19 agreement in Brussels, as well as on issues of integration and advancement in Kosovo’s institutions of the ethnic Montenegrin community living in Kosovo.
