During his visit to Washington, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi met the well-known former Senator and great friend of the people of the Republic of Kosovo, the former Senator Bob Dole.
In the meeting with Senator Dole, Prime Minister Thaçi used the opportunity to express the great respect the Senator enjoys amongst Kosovo’s people and from the Government of the Republic of Kosovo.
Former Senator Dole was one of the first senior American officials, who began to work on the question of Kosovo, and was one of the most active promoters of our national cause and question, especially in the battle to raise public awareness in the US, and in the American administration, particularly at the end of the ‘80s and start of the ‘90s.
In the meeting with the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, Senator Dole, emphasized that he continues to be close to the people of the Republic of Kosovo and is proud of Kosovo’s achievements.
Senator Dole also emphasized that the Republic of Kosovo is lucky to have clever leaders, directing Kosovo toward a secure future in the democratic family of states.
