Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi welcomed today the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia, the current Leader of the Democratic Party of Slovenia, Janez Janša.
 

At the meeting, the current political developments in Kosovo and in the region were discussed with special emphasis in the strengthening of excellent relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Slovenia.
 

Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi informed the former Slovenian Prime Minister Janez Janša on the commitments of the Government of the Republic of Kosovo, and all other institutions of Kosovo, towards the accomplishment of all democratic standards for the integration of Kosovo into the EU and NATO. Mr. Thaçi reiterated that the mandate of the new government cabinet will be a mandate of an European Kosovo and of the full accomplishment of the European agenda by the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo.
 

To the end, Prime Minister Thaçi emphasized that the successful experience of the Republic of Kosovo in the Euro-Atlantic integration processes is of outmost importance for the integration path of the Republic of Kosovo.
 

Prime Minister Thaçi thanked the former Prime Minister Janša for the contribution provided by the Republic of Slovenia and his continuous personal contribution for the process of freedom, independence and development of Kosovo.
 

On the other hand, the former Prime Minister of the Republic of Slovenia Janez Janša thanked Prime Minster Thaçi for his warm-hearted and friendly welcome and stressed that the Republic of Kosovo has an assured European integration perspective and it will receive the continuous support of the Republic of Slovenia to this end.
