The Prime Minister initially thanked Mrs. Pack for her contribution for many years to the issue of Kosovo and that of Southeastern Europe.
“Doris Pack is an old and respected friend of the people of Kosovo. Her voice in the European politics and European institutions was always heard and it was supportive of peace, stability and integration of Kosovo and of the Southeastern Europe in the European Union,” said Prime Minister Thaçi, adding that her contribution is highly appreciated and acknowledged by the institutions and the citizens of Kosovo.
Prime Minister Thaçi said that due to the role of Mrs. Pack for Kosovo, she is now part of every family and of Kosovo family. “She will be honored today by the institutions of Kosovo and her contribution will never be forgotten. Doris Pack still continues to lobby for the interests of Kosovo at the European Parliament,” said the Prime Minister.
Prime Minister Thaçi further said that we are expecting to get the progress report and the visa liberalization guide soon, as a very important document for the free movement of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo. “On this, the support of Mrs. Pack and of other Euro-parliamentarians will be crucial,” said Prime Minister Thaçi.
Mrs. Pack, on her part, promised to continue supporting Kosovo and the region in their efforts to meet the requirements for a quick membership in the European Union.
