On the invitation of the Prime Minister of the Republic of Croatia, the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, will participate in “Croatia Summit 2009 – Europe’s Strategic Imperative – Energy, Investment and Development”, which will be held in the city of Dubrovnik, on the 9th and 10th of July.
The conference is co-sponsored by the Swedish Government, which is leading the Presidency of the European Union and it will be organized in cooperation with the German Marshall Fund of the United States of America.
In Croatia Summit 2009 in Dubrovnik; leaders from European countries will take part, as well as those from the United States of America, representatives of the European Union, NATO and leaders from South Eastern Europe.
Prime Minister Hashim Thaçi will present the achievements of the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo, the commitment of the government to deepening comprehensive reforms, good, transparent and effective governance, the rule of law and order, the uncompromising fight against corruption and organized crime and the affirmative respect for the rights of communities.
At the Dubrovnik summit, Prime Minister Thaçi will also discuss the long-term and continual commitment of the government to fulfilling the standards and criteria in the context of the process of Kosovo’s integration into the European Union and NATO.
