The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Hashim Thaçi, accompanied by a group of deputies of the Kosovo Assembly, visited Skopje today, where he was received in a meeting by the head of the Democratic Union for Integration party (BDI), Mr. Ali Ahmeti, and his associates.
During the meeting, there was discussion on the recent developments in Macedonia and the region and on the ways to establishing immediate diplomatic relations between the Republic of Kosovo and the Republic of Macedonia. There was also discussion on the overall cooperation between Kosovo and Macedonia in the service of the economic development of both countries and to the benefit of peace, stability and regional cooperation.
Talking about the forthcoming presidential and local elections in Macedonia, Prime Minister Thaçi and Mr. Ahmeti emphasized the need for free and democratic elections in Macedonia.
