Prime minister of Kosovo , Mr. Hashim Thaçi, leaded today, for the first time , the meeting of economical fiscal council, (EFC), where was approved the reviewed project-budget for 2008. in this meeting were present minister of economy and finance , Mr. Ahmet Shala, minister of administration and local governance, Mr. Sadri Ferati and representative of the 4 pillar of UNMIK , Andrea Vitkovski.
Prime minister Thaçi praised the good work that was done in the forming of the budget reviewed for 2008 and emphasized that there have been respected the procedures in the most transparent and disciplined way during the budget review from the Kosovo government. “the reviewed budget was reviewed particularly and for all details were consulted the international experts, and in that are included the funds for antiterrorist war, where will benefit KPS, then funds in the local level, sport, the building of schools, roads and the function of the railway Prishtinë-Shkup”, said prime minister Thaçi, evaluating further as a great achievement that the government of Kosovo achieved to review a budget within a month, in order to proceed it in the assembly of Kosovo.
Minister of MEF, Ahmet Shala, did a presentation of the included priorities in the reviewed budget and has thanked all the partners who participated in the composing of this budget. “It was a great team work in this important process, where existed a close collaboration among governmental resort, UNMIK, other international institutions. Mr. Shala was expressed that the government had the limited time to review in the detailed way al the parameters of the budget, but it remains also to review other possibilities of donation taking, in order to make qualitative changes in the public sector.
In this case, also the international representatives, present in the meeting of EFC, Agreed completely with this budget and requested from the Kosovo assembly that as soon as possible to approve it.
