Prime Minister of Kosovo, Hashim Thaçi, accompanied even by minister of Economy and Finance, Ahmet Shala, has attended today in the inauguration of scanner of X-Ray in the customs between Kosovo and Macedonia, in Han të Elezit. In front of customs officers and guests, Prime Minister Thaçi has claimed that this is great news from the customs service for Kosovo and its citizens. This modern equipment and of higher European standards is the best sign of determination of Kosovo institutions and our international partners for the rise of the level of customs service in our country. “I promise as Prime Minister and in the name of Government of Kosovo that I will give my support to the Customs Service, in the continuous work for the improvement of services, in order that they will be according to the European standards and according to the EU criteria”, said Prime Minister. Further, he added that this equipment will not be the only one, but will be other more in the customs of Kosovo to procure as much qualitative services. Mr. Thaçi has claimed as we have determined to say no to the organized crime and no to the absence of tolerance and contraband in any form. Then Prime Minister Thaçi has done the scanning of first cargo and was enthusiastic from the job of this scanner. He has claimed that this new equipment and very sophisticated will help in the stoppage of infiltration of entering suspicious means and dangerous for the health of Kosovo citizens.
