The Security Council of Kosovo held its meeting

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Mr. Albin Kurti held a meeting of the Security Council of Kosovo to discuss the security situation in the country and to coordinate inter-institutional activities in order to implement legality and the rule of law throughout the Republic of Kosovo.

Tomorrow, on August 1, 2022, the implementation of the Government’s decision of June 29, for the beginning of the conversion of license plates to the official ones of the Republic of Kosovo, and for the border crossing with temporary declaration sheets that replace Serbia personal identification documents, comes into force, as well as the deadline for the covering of Serbian symbols and state designations, for vehicles entering our territory, is postponed. This deadline is postponed until October 31, 2022.

Our institutions have already developed all the technical and administrative procedures for the implementation of these decisions, and in this regard we assure our citizens that enabling the replacing of illegal license plates, as well as the passage of citizens at border crossing points, will be processed quickly, without obstacles and in rapid real time.

The decision of the Government of Kosovo is in function of security, establishment of public order and legality and the rule of law. Therefore, the institutions of the Republic of Kosovo remain committed and united to respond to any security situation, always in coordination and close cooperation with our strategic partners.
