The following meeting of the Strategic Planning Commission was held

The following meeting of the Commission for Strategic Planning was held today, in which, in addition to the Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, the first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, ministers and deputy ministers were present from the relevant departments of the Government, the Chief of Staff of the Prime Minister, and heads of offices within the Office of the Prime Minister.

In this meeting, the process of rationalization of agencies, the process of administrative burden and the priority list for the ninth round of application to the Funds for the Western Balkans were discussed.

In the meeting, Prime Minister Kurti said that the process of rationalizing agencies is one of our priorities in the reform of public administration according to our Government Program, for which he assessed that the Public Administration Reform Strategy foresees the improvement of the organization of public administration with clear lines of accountability within and among institutions.

“The goals of the rationalization of the agencies are the best implementation of the strategic objectives of the Government through the consolidation of the executive for increasing efficiency, effectiveness and achieving results”, said Prime Minister Kurti and added that for this purpose, the Ministry of Internal Affairs has approved the methodology for the rationalization of agencies, and has also established the working group for the preparation of the plan to be followed for the next two years.

As for the process of administrative burden, the Prime Minister said that the Office for Strategic Planning of the Office of the Prime Minister, as the bearer of the process, has taken the first steps for sustainability, coordination and implementation of the Program for Prevention and Reduction of Administrative Burden.

“As a function of the implementation of the Program, the process of simplifying and digitalizing services has started in some ministries and in some others it is expected to start soon”, Prime Minister Kurti added.

The first Deputy Prime Minister for European Integration, Development and Dialogue of the Republic of Kosovo, Besnik Bislimi, presented some of the achievements of the administrative burden process. Meanwhile, the Deputy Minister of Internal Affairs, Bardhyl Dobra, spoke about the importance and purpose of rationalizing agencies.
