Prime Minister Kurti welcomed the Norwegian delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE)

The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Diaspora, Kreshnik Ahmeti, welcomed the Norwegian delegation from the Parliamentary Assembly of the Council of Europe (PACE), led by MP Ingjerd Schou, to the Government building.

There was a discussion about Kosovo’s application and its path towards full membership in the Council of Europe. The Prime Minister reiterated and reconfirmed our country’s commitment to membership in this international organization and respect for human rights, democracy and the rule of law, as the main value of the Council of Europe and shared with Kosovo.

He informed the delegation from Norway about the current political situation, the latest developments, and the work of the government. They discussed the benefits of the citizens of the Republic of Kosovo from Kosovo’s membership in the Council of Europe and the progress in the field of democracy and the rule of law in the last two years that have made our application natural.

Prime Minister Kurti thanked Norway for its continuous support to Kosovo, and for supporting Kosovo’s candidacy for membership in the Council of Europe.
