The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, hosted in a meeting the new non-resident ambassador of Ireland for Kosovo, Ragnar Almqvist.
Expressing gratitude for Ireland’s steadfast support to our country, Prime Minister Kurti thanked the ambassador in particular for supporting Kosovo’s application to the Council of Europe.
In the meeting, it was emphasized that during the last two years, our country has made important steps forward in implementing key reforms, promoting democracy and strengthening the rule of law. Prime Minister Kurti also spoke about the current situation and the terrorist attack by Serbia on September 24.
They talked about strengthening bilateral relations and cooperation, increasing opportunities for trade exchange, economic investments and cultural projects between our two countries. Prime Minister Kurti emphasized that he welcomes close cooperation with Ireland to further deepen the ties between the two countries.
