The Prime Minister of the Republic of Kosovo, Albin Kurti, together with the Minister of Culture, Youth and Sports, Hajrulla Çeku and our Representative for contact with the Holy See, Vehbi Miftari, today welcomed the Apostolic Delegate of the Holy See for Kosovo, Jean Marie Speich.
The conversation began with the Prime Minister’s congratulations on Easter, as he expressed his gratitude for the commitment of Delegate Speich, with whom he also shared his memories and impressions from the visit to the Vatican and the meeting with Pope Francis in June 2023.
He appreciated the will of the Pope for the deepening of relations between Kosovo and the Vatican. The opening of the Special Mission of the Republic of Kosovo to the Holy See in January of this year, the prime minister singled out as an important development in the further rapprochement of relations between the two countries.
He also reiterated the government’s willingness to work closely with the Holy See in promoting human values and peace, alongside bilateral relations.
